I thought about which picture I should post here to represent 2012 for me. So here it is. The lovely Golden Gate Bridge. I’ll be moving to the heart of San Francisco soon, after living in the South Bay suburbs for two years. San Francisco and I will be spending a great deal of time getting to know each other this year. I am looking forward. Another year, another chapter.

Top 5 New Year Resolutions for 2012:

LEARN a language! I will enroll in a recreational Spanish class to enhance my conversational Spanish speaking skills, picking up where I left off in high school. My upcoming Costa Rica trip is a good motivator.

PLANT a small herb garden! I will plant basil, tarragon, oregano and rosemary and give the herbs the tender loving care they deserve. I will also take better care of my dwarf citrus tree which finally starting fruiting! Woohoo.

RUN a half marathon! I will sign up for the US Half Marathon for Easter Sunday. I have 12 weeks to train!

LAUGH more! Surround myself with funny pals, rid myself of debbie downers, and attend at least 2 comedy shows in San Francisco by spring.

BUILD! Build more strength and definition by committing to strength train at least twice a week for a total of 40 minutes each week.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year Trish! Seeing the Golden Gate bridge on a sunny day always makes me happy :-) How fun to be moving into the city! Great resolutions, and they all sound quite doable. I’ll admit, I tend not to make resolutions, but one (of many!) goals I have is to start exercising more in the mornings. Looking forward to more Dish by Trish in the new year!!

Those are great resolutions. I made a list of 12 things to accomplish this year which includes marathon, at least 30 days skiing and submitting an NIH grant. Happy new year!

Happy New Year Trish!  Love, love the city!  Always wished I lived there, but at least going there often is great.  Great resolutions and I sure you will surely exceed all of them and more.  I plan to live each day to the fullest in 2012, do more traveling, try more great restaurants, see my family and friends more and just enjoy life and all it has to offer!

Happy New Year!  Love that picture.  I wish I would have learned more Italian for our honeymoon trip.  Good luck on your 1/2 training, that’s awesome!  I’m working on my cycling training and balancing everything out :)

Great goals, enjoy SF (jealous). Language, running, gardening lots of ambition. I’m so with you on the Debbie downers. I want to write my book, I want to yell less/stress less and learn more.
